(You often need to connect a physical device to each port for this to work)In this case the Speaker is the only device that works with the Stereo Mix together. The Stereo Mix 'copies' all input from the Speaker. It cannot copy sound from the Front Output or other ports of the sound-card. That is why the Speaker has to be the default playback device.Select your Front Output (Sometimes also called Headset) in the software you want to exclude and use the Speaker in your Recording software. In the Stereo Mix device you activate the 'Listen to this device' check-box and select your Front Output(/Headset) in the drop-down.You can of course also use an USB Headset or second sound-card instead of the Front Output.
But your default device has to have a Stereo Mix for this configuration to work. /With VAC or VB-Cable you get a Line 1 or Cable 1/A after installation. It is used as the default playback device in this configuration, it will receive windows sound, game sound or whatever uses the default playback device in Windows. The Speaker of my example Realtek sound-card will be selected in Skype or whichever software you want to exclude and which allows you to select the output device. Finally to hear the sound of the Virtual Line(game sound or windows sound) you can simply use the listen to feature of Windows and in the drop-down select your Speakers. In your recording software you either select Line 1 as your desktop audio device or keep it on 'default', which will also be used if your software has no option to select a device.

I've been waiting for a soundboard! And having used TS's soundboard, i have a couple suggestions.Integration into discord as a plugin, rather than a standalone program (this would eliminate the need for VB virtual cable, and might give the option for it to NOT require voice activation).a 'button' system would be nice, as it would eliminate the limit of sounds available. For example, playing my game, i have most of my keyboard assigned to game actions, which limits the amount of sounds available.
Also, not being able to use voice activation - due to too much background noise - the keybinds don't work, as they turn into 'push to talk key + assigned sound key'.The idea is awesome, LOVE that someone took the time to work on it, but these were the 1st issues i ran into while testing it in a guild channel.Again, thanks for taking the time! Keep up the good work!:D.
Hiya first of all thanks for the feedback:).1)Integration would require them to release a proper API as far as I'm aware none of the community APIs have found the hooks for audio yet ad I'm not smart enough to do what they do:(. Also the downside is while they're still actively developing it its likely every update they make will break mine so I thought standalone would be preferable until then.

Dont get me wrong I'd love to do it but I think it would end up as more downtime for users at the moment. In its current state the only way it can be broken is if they decide to block VBCABLE as an input option. It can be used with push to talk but is more of a pain. Heck if this gets popular enough maybe discord will make their own or work with me on integrating it.2) A button system(as in buttons to click instead of hotkeys right?) would be fairly easy to do would reduce the amount of usable sounds simultaneously though(I'll add it as an option in the updated UI version).I could look into making the soundboard simulate push to talk whilst a track is playing. Negating the need for the extra button push.

So I've never posted here, and I'm not even sure if this is the proper place for this, but I know that most on Steam also use discord. Just wanted to share a little experience with a problem that has been plauging me for over a year. For a while now I've been using a Corsair HS60 headset. Sound was good, comfort was amazing, but I kept having one problem. Every so often a friend would freak out that all they could hear in their game was the echo from mine. I ignored it for a while, but I started getting complaints more and more often.I tried everything from then on out. Screwed with every audio setting in every program that I could find, played with all the sensitivity in/out, input/output volumes, microphone boost, noise cancellation, absolutely everything.
I then figured it MUST be a firmware issue. Reverted all my custom settings, deleted and re-installed all audio drivers etc, nothing.I then started to blame the corsairs.
I went out and bought a brand new set of Astro A50 wireless thinking maybe it was the 3.5MM jack on the Corsairs and going usb (base) directly to motherboard would fix it, same f.@#$%g problem, still! The only other thing I could think to do was wipe Windows 10 and re-install. Literally the day I was getting ready to do just that, I was in a discord chat with friends, playing with the audio settings again hoping one last time would save me hours of misery, and no dice on the sensitivity or output settings, but then something magical happened. For some reason, I decided to click the 'Input Device' drop down menu which was set as 'Astro A50 Gaming headset.' (This changed automatically when I swapped out the Corsairs for the Astro, obviously, it used to read 'Corsair HS60'). Scrolling through the settings, I noticed a 'default' settings. Decided what the hell, give it a click.
Poof, all of my in game audio transmission to other players stopped instantly. I feel sooo incredibly stuipid that it took me this long to figure that out. Hopefully if theres anyone out there having a similar problem, this will help them, because it had me wanting to tear the hair out of my head forever.TL;DR: If your transmitting in game sound through your headset to other players, change your 'Input Device' and 'Output Device' settings in Discord from '(Your Headset Name)' to 'Default.'
